Abstract

[...]changes in dietary fatty acids composition may modulate diet-induced hepatic fat deposition (reviewed in reference [32]). [...]not only total dietary fat intake, but also the proportions of SFA-MUFA-PUFA were different between diets, and we cannot exclude the possibility that this may have impacted IHCL or IMCL storage. [...]in HP-LF condition, dietary protein content was increased by addition of dairy products; whether the observed effects are generic to dietary proteins or specific to dairy products remains to be evaluated. [...]our study was of short duration and was limited to a small group of healthy male and female subjects, and results may not apply to other subgroups of the population (e.g., overweight subjects or subjects with the metabolic syndrome).
