Abstract

[...]of being in vitro, IJE was expected to prevent obesity through downregulation of adipogenesis and lipogenesis. Previous studies have shown that obesity reduces exercise capacity [24,25]. [...]we tested grip strength and endurance capacity by performing a treadmill test. In this study, the mRNA levels of Myh7 and Myh2 in the skeletal muscles were increased in the HFD+IL group. [...]IJE had an effect-enhanced endurance capacity by changing muscle fiber type. Luteolin has been reported to reduce cancer-induced skeletal muscle atrophy by increasing muscle weight [34]. [...]it seems that luteolin has a potential for improvement of obesity-induced muscle atrophy.
