Abstract

Since copper carries out its essential functions during changes in oxidation state, it is a potential source of electrons for the catalysis of Fenton reactions. [...]molecular dynamics predicts a specific interaction between the high-affinity copper transporter 1 (CTR1) ectodomain and Cp sites that connect liable copper ions [70]. [...]it is worth noting that in lactating rats, the silver radioactive isotope [110Ag], enters the mammary gland cells and into the hepatocytes with kinetic characteristics similar to those of [64Cu] [61,73]. [...]the silver helped to uncover the interorgan control mechanism that supports copper balance in the blood and compensates for the deficit of oxidase Cp.
