Abstract

[...]the activity of Ca2+-dependent GO enzymes, including pyruvate dehydrogenase, isocitrate dehydrogenase, and α-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase, is compromised, leading to GO inhibition [5]. [...]we next evaluated the potential effect of NgBR on MAM formation. [...]we also visualized MAM formation through the electron microscope images, and a lower degree of ER apposition to the mitochondria was found in NgBR KD cells (Figure 3D). [...]we analyzed the level of Ca2+m, a well-known indicator of MAM.
