Abstract

Os estilos de vida e o bem-estar psicológico sao determinantes da saúde dos professores. Sao objetivos do estudo caraterizar os estilos de vida e bem-estar psicológico dos professores de 3° ciclo e secundario e analisar a relaçao entre os estilos de vida e bem-estar psicológico. Trata-se de um estudo transversal e correlacional, utilizou-se um questionário que inclui: i) variáveis de caracterizaçao sociodemográfica e professional; ii) FANTÁSTICO para avaliaçao do estilo de vida; e iii) QBEP-R para avaliar o bem-estar psicológico. Dos 174 professores a maioria era do sexo feminino (68.40%), casada (75.30%), a média de idades era de 49.10 anos e (64.90%) detinha a licenciatura. Os resultados evidenciam que os professores apresentavam estilo de vida Muito Bom e que existe correlaçao positiva e estatisticamente significativa entre estilos de vida e bem-estar psicológico, verificando-se a mesma relaçao quanto aos dominios, que integram o FANTÁSTICO, exceto para tabaco, álcool e outros comportamentos. Constata-se uma relaçao positiva e significativa entre estilos de vida e bem-estar psicológico. Lifestyle and psychological well-being are very important factors for teachers' health. Objectives: To characterize the lifestyle and psychological well-being of 3rd and 5th-grade teachers and to analyze the relationship between the two variables. It is a cross-sectional and correlational study using a questionnaire, which included: i) sociodemographic and professional characterization variables; ii) The FANTASTIC questionnaire for lifestyle assessment; and iii) The questionnaire QBEP-R for assessing psychological well-being. The majority of the 174 participants were female (68.40%), married (75.30%), the average age was 49.10 years old, and (64.90%) had a bachelor's degree. The results show that the teachers presented a Very Good lifestyle and there is a positive and statistically significant correlation between general lifestyle and psychological well-being. There is also a statistical and significant relationship between FANTASTIC domains and psychological well-being, except for tobacco and alcohol consumptions and other behaviors. This study revealed a positive and significant relationship between lifestyle and psychological well-being.
