The main reason is that donning tests of life preservers do not always yield reliable results, so the regulatory authorities and manufacturers often ignore the mandatory donning requirement of the life preserver [1]. [...]it is necessary to research the influencing factors to improve the validation and reliability of donning tests. Seven continuous variables include height, weight, head circumference, body fat rate, metabolic rate, self-test score, and tool test time, see Table 3. According to TSO-C13g [9], five age groups used in this paper were <20, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, and 50–59 years.
