In accordance with the Russian environmental legislation, the environment is understood as the natural environment, that is, the totality of natural objects and natural resources, including atmospheric air, water, soil, subsoil, flora and fauna, as well as the climate, in their interaction. The content of the concept “environment” does not include such objects of the social environment as buildings, structures, monuments of history and culture, etc. Relations regarding these objects are regulated by other legislation.
