The authors retract the article “Paving towards Strategic Investment Decision: A SWOT Analysis of Renewable Energy in Bangladesh” by Karim et al. [1].

Following publication, concerns were brought to the attention of the publisher and the authors regarding overlap with an unpublished research project previously submitted to a university, with different authorship.

An investigation was conducted by Monash University that confirmed significant overlap with a previously unpublished research project, following edits made by the fourth author. All the co-authors, apart from the fourth author, state that they were unaware of this issue at the time of publication.

This retraction was approved by the Editor in Chief of the journal Sustainability.

The authors agreed to this retraction. The authors apologize to the editors and to readers of the journal for the difficulties that this has caused.
