Abstract
On the surface, classical architecture and modern architecture have huge differences in image. The difference in image between classical architecture and modern architecture shows the difference in design methods and aesthetic theories between the two types of architectures. But in essence, the design methods and aesthetic theories used in these two types of architectures have commonalities. This paper analyzes the design methods and aesthetic theories of classical architecture and modern architecture, and explains their similarities and differences.
