Abstract

A number of bound states of the strong interaction with potential non-q nature are waiting to be understood within QCD. A prominent example are the light scalars with JPC = 0++, which have been interpreted as tetraquarks already long ago. Recent four-body calculations in the Dyson-Schwinger/Bethe-Salpeter approach support the tetraquark hypothesis and find the σ meson to have a strong pion-pion component.
