Abstract

The PEBSI Monte Carlo code was recently upgraded towards usefulness to compute the effective Sherman function, which is used in electron Mott polarimetry. The results of the simulation were compared to experimental data for a 100 keV polarized electron beam. The properties of the effective Sherman function, as well as the problem of experiment optimization were analyzed using the data from the simulation.
