Abstract

Gas-like α-cluster states are investigated in l6O with the use of 4α OCM (Orthogonality Condition Model). The 0+6 state in 16O is shown to have a character of a 4α condensate, an analogue to the Hoyle state in 12C. The decay properties of this state and the α+Hoyle-like rotatinal states are also investigated.
