With the increasing need for mobility and rising affluence in Malaysia, many consumers are replacing their desktops with laptops or tablets. Consequently, 2014 will witness more households owning one or more laptops instead of sharing a desktop and also trading up to tablets for their convenience and cheaper unit price.Despite the proliferation of tablets, consumers retained their laptops or desktops for more intense usage, be it at home or the office. However, the need for convenience and portability drove consumers to increasingly replace their desktops with laptops. Consumers' rising disposable incomes at the end of the review period coupled with the affordable prices of laptops also witnessed more households owning one laptop...
