Abstract

Healthcare Providers; Bioequivalence; Generic Medicine; Brand Name Medicine; Cost-effective INTRODUCTION Access to healthcare facilities and essential medicines still remains a worldwide problem (30% of global population), particularly in developing countries (50% of its population). [1921] The primary stakeholders would be the policy makers, doctors, and future healthcare professionals. [...]arises the need for proper education and training programs to inculcate these changes in drug prescribing behavior. [...]it is suggested to include this aspect in medical education curriculum. [22] Medical and paramedical undergraduate students are the most important target to educate about the use of generic medicines as they are the future prescribers, dispensers, and patients' advisors.
