Abstract

It is developing an engine for an unmanned aerial vehicle that performs missions without a person in the turboshaft method. This engine is equipped with a recuperator to drive the engine with higher efficiency, which can extend the distance for performing a given aircraft’s mission. This study evaluates the various performances (heat exchange efficiency and pressure loss) of a recuperator developed for the purpose of installing it on the 100-horsepower engine and conducts the tests in various engine driving environments. These results can more accurately predict the performance of the engine to be developed and can serve as an opportunity to further increase engine efficiency.
