Abstract
Omar MM, Eleraky NE, El Sisi AM, Ali Hasan O. Drug Des Devel Ther. 2019;13:4413–4430.
The Editor and Publisher of Drug Design, Development and Therapy wish to retract the published article. Concerns were raised regarding the alleged image manipulation of the TEM micrograph shown in Figure 2. It appears several of the small spherical vesicles shown in the figure are duplicates of each other.
The authors did not respond to our queries and the decision was made to retract the article. The authors were notified of this.
Our decision-making was informed by our policy on publishing ethics and integrity and the COPE guidelines on retraction.
The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
