Abstract

A hybrid composite reinforced by aramid, glass and carbon fibers and processed with integrated vacuum infusion is studied in this paper. Reasons why the composite suffers from warpage after post-curing are analyzed. Such deformation is restrained by adjusting the thickness ratio of the fibers. Results indicate that with a constant areal density, the minimum deformation is 0.28 when the thickness ratio of the surface layer to the back layer is 1.46.
