Abstract
The objective of this research was to characterize the experiences of teachers about the cross-sectional teaching of semiology in a medicine program at a Colombian university. For this, a socio-critical study with a qualitative approach was proposed. As a method, the systematization of experiences was used. For data collection, a semi-structured interview was constructed and used, which was validated by expert peers. Eight interviews were conducted with professors-doctors, who have been linked to the teaching of semiology within the medical training program. The interviews were coded and analyzed under the criteria of thematic analysis, which involved a closed coding, an open coding and a cross-analysis in which the research results were given meaning, through the bibliographic background. The main conclusions indicate that within the teaching of semiology it is key to strengthen continuous teacher training, the use of telemedicine, an early approach of the student to the clinical scenario and a repositioning of this subject within the curricular structure. program overview.
