Nível de alfabetização financeira dos servidores públicos estaduais de Minas Gerais

Abstract

O presente estudo buscou verificar o nível de conhecimento da educação financeira e a atitude financeira dos servidores públicos estaduais, que atuam diretamente em quatro escolas estaduais, de uma cidade do Triângulo Mineiro, e seus determinantes. Através da pesquisa quantitativa, foram aplicados 201 questionários, baseado nos estudos de Halles, Sokolowski e Hilgemberg (2007) com adaptações para a pesquisa. Foram feitas análises dos dados através da estatística descritiva, com análise da média, frequência, desvio padrão e percentual. Os resultados enfatizaram que o nível de conhecimento financeiro é baixo diante dos construtos analisados, já as questões do comportamento e atitude financeira não são influenciadas pela alfabetização financeira. Considerando que a amostra apresenta baixo nível de educação financeira, porém o comportamento e atitude está em um nível mais elevado.

The present study sought to verify the level of knowledge of financial education and the financial attitude of state public servants, who work directly in four state schools, in a city in the Triângulo Mineiro, and its determinants. Through quantitative research, 201 questionnaires were applied, based on studies by Halles, Sokolowski and Hilgemberg (2007) with adaptations for the research. Data analyzes were carried out using descriptive statistics, with analysis of the mean, frequency, standard deviation and percentage. The results emphasized that the level of financial knowledge is low in relation to the constructs analyzed, whereas issues of financial behavior and attitude are not influenced by financial literacy. Considering that the sample has a low level of financial education, however, behavior and attitude are at a higher level.
