LA FORMACIÓN UNIVERSITARIA EN CIENCIA DE LA INFORMACIÓN EN ESPAÑA ANTE LA TRANSFORMACIÓN DIGITAL reflexiones para el debate

Abstract

Se analiza la situación actual de las titulaciones de Información y Documentación (ID) en España, desde su creación hace menos de cuatro décadas hasta su adaptación al Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior (EEES). El análisis se hace sobre los datos estadísticos ofrecidos por el Gobierno de España, la Fundación BBVA-IVIE y el SEPE. Se destacan los cambios significativos que han sufrido las titulaciones de grado, tanto en sus contenidos como en sus denominaciones, así como la influencia de la transformación digital y la realidad laboral en la formación y las competencias de los profesionales de la información. Se aborda también la situación de la formación de postgrado y la inserción laboral de los egresados. Se concluye que es necesario articular una vía que garantice la permanencia y la solvencia de la titulación en el ámbito universitario, integrando la investigación, la transferencia y la interdisciplinariedad.

The current situation of Information and Documentation (ID) programs in Spain is analyzed, from their creation less than four decades ago to their adaptation to the European Higher Education Area (EHES). The analysis is based on statistical data provided by the Government of Spain, the BBVA-IVIE Foundation and SEPE. The significant changes undergone by degrees are highlighed, both in their content and designations, as well as the influence of digital transformation and the reality of work on the training and skills of information professionals. It is also addressed the situation of postgraduate training and the employability of graduates. It is concluded that it is necessary to articulate a path that guarantees the permanence and solvency of the cycles of studies in university education, integrating research, knowledge transfer and interdisciplinarity.
