Abstract

In this research, our focus centers on investigating the stress distribution across various piston materials employed in internal combustion (IC) engines. Recognizing the pivotal role of the piston as a critical and intricate component within the engine, its sustained optimal condition is imperative to ensure the engine’s proper functionality. Mechanical stress emerges as a primary factor leading to piston failure. Consequently, our study delves into the analysis of mechanical stress exhibited by different piston materials, aiming to gain insights into their performance under various conditions. The exploration of stress distribution across diverse materials contributes valuable information for enhancing the durability and reliability of pistons, thereby advancing the overall efficiency and longevity of IC engines.
