Abstract
Climate change is a major global challenge disproportionately affecting vulnerable populations. This study aimed to conduct a bibliometric analysis to map research trends. A search was conducted in Scopus, considering the terms ‘climate justice’ in the period 2007-2023, inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied and bibliometric indicators were used. 862 documents were identified, with an exponential growth of publications in the last 5 years. The most influential journals belong to areas such as environmental sciences, economics, and social sciences. The United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia lead the scientific output. Prominent topics include distributive justice, ecological protection, climate responsibility, and human development, linked to climate change as a cross-cutting theme. It was concluded that climate justice is a growing field of research, published in high-impact journals, with scientific rigor and a multidisciplinary approach. New lines of future research such as governance and climate justice were identified.
