2014 is seeing the growth of hybrids/convertibles which integrate both tablets and laptops into a single device. Examples include the Lenovo ThinkPad Helix and many other models with or without detachable keyboards. This combination offers consumers a multi-functional portable computer which can be transformed into a few modes for different occasions at one price.Volume sales of tablets and other portable computers continued to grow in 2013, with 25% increase. This was considered a great decline from the 3,800% growth in 2011 and 38% in 2012, when tablets more popular with the launch of Apple's iPad 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and many other brands.
