Many Journal readers are interested in discographical research. From Dick Raichelson and Malcolm Walker's Discographical Forum section in this magazine to the publications of a variety of hard working discophiles, it's not difficult to imagine that producing such a work is a thankless task, as no sooner are they published, it's almost certain that errors will be found as new information comes to light - you need the patience of a saint to even contemplate such research. After a period of time, the information begins to firm up and these works become indispensable to the vast number of jazz information gatherers. To say that compiling a discography project is a labor of love would be a huge understatement!
