A 19-year-old female renal transplant recipient experienced galactorrhoea and mastalgia during concomitant treatment with amlodipine and tacrolimus.
The woman, who had previously been treated with amlodipine, underwent renal transplantation in December 2007; on discharge, her medication comprised tacrolimus 5mg twice daily, mycophenolate mofetil and prednisolone, as well as clonidine for BP control. In March 2008, she presented with tenderness and heaviness of both breasts, and nipple discharge; her complaints did not relate to her menstrual cycle.
