Abstract

Abstract—

The article proposes a method for assessing the dependence of energy sectors on imported equipment based on public statistics. The estimates made in accordance with the proposed method show that significant and sustainable progress in the field of import substitution has been achieved for 2012–2021 only in the electricity and heat supply sector. In the oil and coal sectors, which are characterized by the highest share of imported equipment used, the situation has not changed fundamentally. The organization of a monitoring system in the field of import substitution in Russia should become an important part of the relevant policy, especially under the conditions of unprecedented foreign economic restrictions on the import of technologies and equipment.
