The greatest disaster ever facing humanity,
She sailed into the distance like so many cigarettes
While trace elements gathered pace in the wind.
And it was enough to remind them of all that mattered,
Past lumbering icebergs and archipelagos of indifference.
He wanted to know everything or nothing about her.
If she was dainty nobody stopped to remind her,
An intersection's tangled skirt confronting humanity.
