An 84-year-old man developed collagenous colitis during treatment with apixaban and rivaroxaban.
The man with a history of cardiogenic encephalopathy since August 2014, started to receive apixaban [route and dosage not stated]. Approximately, a month later, he started having watery diarrhoea 3-4 times per day and lost 3 kg of body weight over a period of three months due to continued symptoms. With the above-mentioned symptoms, he presented for evaluation in December 2014.
