INTRODUCTION:
Mental health disorders impose a significant global burden, affecting individuals, families, and societies. Traditional approaches to mental healthcare often face challenges related to accessibility, affordability, and stigma. In this context, AI offers innovative solutions to enhance mental health services. By leveraging machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, and other AI techniques, researchers and clinicians are exploring novel ways to improve the understanding, detection, and management of mental health conditions.
AI Applications in Mental Health: AI is being applied across various stages of mental health care delivery:
1.Early Detection and Diagnosis:
* AI-powered screening tools analyse patterns in behavioural data to identify individuals at risk of developing mental health disorders.
* Machine learning algorithms analyses speech, facial expressions, and other non-verbal cues to detect early signs of mental illness.
2.Personalized Treatment:
* AI algorithms analyse vast datasets to personalize treatment plans based on individual characteristics, genetic factors, and treatment response.
