A 67-year-old man developed mild respiratory distress following aspirin pill aspiration [dosage and indication not stated].
The man, who had a history of oesophageal dysmotility, fibrotic nonspecific interstitial pneumonia and bilateral sequential lung transplant, presented with acute onset shortness of breath and cough that started the night before. He also showed mild respiratory distress with oxygen saturation levels of 88% on room air. His concomitant medications included everolimus, tacrolimus and prednisone. Physical examination revealed wheezing in the right lung field.
