Abstract

[...]the β-elimination product (designated GR94219) is a minor "metaboliteâ[euro] of remifentanil [4], and the drug, which is reconstituted at pH 3, is unstable at higher pH [5]. Because esterase action is dominant, only about 1% of a dose of remifentanil has been found as the β-elimination product.
