The NSW Government has betrayed voters by allowing hunting in national parks.
The O'Farrell Government's plan to allow recreational hunting in national parks and nature reserves has been totally rejected by the National Parks Association of NSW, Nature Conservation Council of NSW, Humane Society International, Total Environment Centre, Blue Mountains Conservation Society, Central West Environment Council, Colong Foundation for Wilderness and STEP Inc.
Over the past two years Premier Barry O'Farrell has repeatedly promised that he would not allow recreational hunting in national parks or nature reserves. Mr O'Farrell's deal with the Shooters and Fishers Party has allowed the Coalition to privatise a NSW essential service - electricity - while opening up 34 national parks, 31 nature reserves and 14 state conservation areas across NSW to...
