METHOD OF PREPARATION
1. Calculate the required quantity of each ingredient for the total number to be prepared. It is generally best to prepare additional materials for one or two extra suppositories.
2. Accurately weigh and/or measure each ingredient.
3. Heat the fatty-acid base to approximately 45 to 50°C until melted. As an alternative, cocoa butter can be used and heated to a temperature of approximately 35 to 36°C.
4. Triturate the boric acid and silica gel together to a fine powder.
5. Sprinkle the powders on the melted fatty-acid base and mix well.
6. Cool slightly, then pour into a suppository mold.
7. Cool, then trim the suppositories, if necessary.
8. Package and label.

Package in tight containers.1

Keep out of reach of children. Use only as directed. Keep in a cool place.
STABILITY
A bcyond-use date of 6 months is appropriate for this preparation.1
