Canzona is a Baroque choral ensemble founded and directed by Henry Engbrecht, Professor Emeritus of Choral Studies at the University of Manitoba. The choir consists of sixteen to thirty voices, depending on the repertoire. In 2009 Canzona embarked on a project to record Russian Mennonite hymns and spiritual songs on three discs sung in German, the language of congregational worship within the community.
