In a personal and salty account the authors present the saga of the Lunenburg Foundry from its inception in 1891 up to the present. The interesting perceptive employed to tell the tale reflects the abilities of the two experienced writers and an avid interest in sailing held by one of the authors.
The reader is introduced to the Foundry's early years through references from hand-written accounts. The story of the Foundry's struggle to survive heavy financial losses, a disastrous fire in 1905, and then the success of their popular stoves and related appliances is fully explored.
