The Board of Trustees of Claremont Graduate University (CGU) seeks candidates for the role of President and invites expressions of interest regarding this unique leadership opportunity. Over the past year, Claremont Graduate University has embarked on a comprehensive and inclusive strategic planning process to explore new possibilities while simultaneously renewing and affirming long-established institutional priorities and commitments. The next President must be ready to mobilize the University’s intellectual and fiscal resources in a manner that will promote the exploration of new strategic possibilities and enhance the University’s national and international reputation.
Established in 1925 as a founding member of the prestigious Claremont Colleges, Claremont Graduate University combines the intimate intellectual environment of a small liberal arts college with the academic offerings and publicly-engaged faculty of a contemporary research university. CGU enrolls more than 2,000 students across seven schools and in a setting that is intimate, interdisciplinary, and engaged with the world. The University has an operating budget of approximately $53 million and an endowment of about $185 million.
