A 47-year-old man developed reflux oesophagitis, chronic gastritis and gastric ulcers secondary to colchicine toxicity [route, time to reactions onsets not clearly stated].
The man presented with dyspnoea and severe substernal chest pain, exacerbated by deep inspiration and ameliorated by leaning forward. Upon examination, he was diagnosed with acute pericarditis.
