The essays span the years 1967 to 2010, and are arranged thematically as: I: Reason in Action; ?: Intention and Identity; III: Human Rights and Common Good; IV: Philosophy of Law, and V: Religion and Public Reason.
A native of Australia, Finnis began his coUege education at the University of Adelaide from which he graduated with an LLB. A Rhodes Fellowship took him to Oxford where he earned a D. Phil. Today, he is known as a professor of law at University College, Oxford, and as a professor of jurisprudence, political theory, and constitutional law at the University of Notre Dame. CoUected...
