This volume could be considered groundbreaking, not because it contains any "new" information, but because it is one of the first books allowing the easy identification of the many Egyptian deities. It is the work of Richard H. Wilkinson, professor and director of the University of Arizona Egyptian Expedition who has been involved in excavation and research and the production of other books on Egyptian art and religion. Wilkinson caters for both the general and academic reader.
