Abstract
In this regard, Janus Ong and coworkers (Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, USA) reported the results of a study at the American Gastroenterological Association conference (May 20-27; San Diego, CA, USA) which followed 32 liver transplantation patients for cryptogenic cirrhosis. The study was retrospective, but all liver biopsies were read blindly by a single hepatopathologist using a rigorous 19-point pathological questionnaire. 15 patients developed NAFLD post-- transplantion half of whom had histologically advanced disease.
