ABSTRACT
Determination of Saturation Temperature for curing of Low Grade Massecuites is a complex matter as it depends on many variables. In general it varies with the variation of the massecuite purity and its viscosity and exhaustion facility of the Plant. Therefore determined saturation temperature of one Sugar Plant cannot be applied as such at another place located plant Ranipur Sugar Mills conducted a study to determine the best possible saturation curing temperature of B and C Massecuites, The saturation temperature of B Massecuite after passing was found 55 OC and for C Massecuite it was 56OC after passing through set of Vertical Crystallizers and Massecuite Re-heater.
Key Words: Saturation Temp., Low Grade Massecuites, Viscosity, Exhaustion
INTRODUCTION
Saturation is the Temperature of the solution where under certain conditions solute stopped dissolution in the solvent until unless conditions are not changed. In case of massecuites, each type of massecuite have different saturation temperature due to the presence of the different level of different salts (non Sugar), different level of brix, purities, crystal contents, size of crystals and viscosity. Here we are concerned wife the curing temperature of low grade massecuite Le,, B and C Massecuites to determine the reheating temperature of massecuite after its cooling where during its caring molasses may easily be separated from sugar crystal without applying heavy quantity of steam and hot water for washing in the centrifugal machine. Application of undue washing of hot water caused to dissolve fee sugar from the surface the sugar crystal and multiple the reprocessing cost
