A 68-year-old woman developed orofacial angioedema during treatment with dexmedetomidine and fentanyl.
The woman had been diagnosed with an acute ischaemic stroke of the left middle cerebral arterial territory. She was transferred to the neurointerventional suite for mechanical thrombectomy.
