A 37-year-old woman developed vomiting, hyponatraemia, diarrhoea, hypokalaemia, advanced steatosis in the liver, cerebral oedema, cardiac arrest and interstitial adipose tissue hyperplasia in the heart following fatal dextromethorphan intoxication [dosage, route, time to reactions onsets not stated; not all outcomes stated].
The woman, who had a history of alcohol and novel psychoactive substance abuse, was transferred to the hospital at 4pm with preliminary diagnosis of diarrhoea, vomiting, hyponatraemia and hypokalaemia.
