When reviewing the previous edition of the Dictionary (RR 2013/286), I opined that the ever-changing situation of the Union would soon require another. It was a safe bet. The editors have, on this occasion, updated the text to January 2015, thus allowing themselves to include entries on the then newly appointed members of the Commission and on various alterations which took place at the same time. Many others have been brought up to date, although some are of a nature which does not require it, for instance, those which describe the provisions of the various Treaties on which the Union depends, or which define the technical terms peculiar to it.
