This volume consists of four "documents." The four are Hsu Shuhsi's Documents of the Nanking Safety Zone, a compilation of 69 documents that appeared first in 1939 (170 pages reproduced - unlike Brook's other documents - in photographic likeness, with pagination independent from the rest of the volume); excerpts from 24 letters by American doctor Robert Wilson (50 pages); excerpts from the majority judgment at the Tokyo trial (12 pages); and excerpts from Justice Radhabinod Pal's minority judgment (30 pages). There are also a preface (4 pages), introduction ("Documenting the Rape of Nanking," 29 pages), 9 photographs, and indexes of names and organizations - although at the end of the volume, the latter cover only Hsu and Wilson.
