A 39-year-old man was found dead after being strangled with potentially lethal concentrations of doxepin in his blood [dosage and time to reaction onset not stated].
The man was found naked on the floor with a scarf underneath his clothes, which had been separated in the middle (possibly a choking implement) and had a bent metal slab (possibly a gag). He had a history of depression and insomnia, for which he took doxepin drops "in phases". A few years earlier, he had attempted suicide by taking a doxepin overdose after a conflict with his partner.
