Abstract
Doctor Robert M. Zollinger's legacy as an internationally recognized surgical pioneer has been left to us through his correspondence, illustrations, books, articles, oral histories, tapes, videos, awards, dreams, and stories, which are now housed in the Medical Heritage Center at the Prior Health Sciences Library, Ohio State University. Through a plethora of memorabilia found in his home office, basement, attic, and university office and donated by countless friends and acquaintances, we have been able to organize the life of this great man into a collection of more than 170 linear feet of materials. According to Dr. Zollinger, it was not to make money for himself; he just liked to do it.
