This is a useful book, looking at drug use in London from a variety of perspectives and bringing together relevant social data. There are 14 chapters in all, ranging over features of London, treatment and care services, prevention and education, policing, and customs and excise. There are chapters on dance culture and reviews of information from surveys and official statistics. The collection ends with a discussion of public health indicators and what would be needed to improve public health surveillance in London. The book should be a set text on training courses and will be of value more generally to those needing to become quickly acquainted with the facts about drugs in London.
