2014 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA), a period that has seen tremendous growth and change across the field of public administration. Throughout, ASPA has remained a key resource for the profession, supporting and advancing the practice and teaching of public administration in the United States and around the world. The Journal of Health and Human Services Administration (JHHSA) is proud to be affiliated with ASPA through its partnership with ASPA's Section on Health and Human Administration. This issue honors ASPA's anniversary and JHHSA's affiliation with the Section on Health and Human Services Administration with three articles. Importantly, these are not retrospective works, but scholarship that examines critical topics impacting the effective delivery of health and human services to the American public today, and that looks ahead to the future of health and social service delivery.
