A number of "handbooks" have become available covering the Scrum framework since the original book on Scrum by Ken Schwaber and Mike Beedle, Agile Software Development with Scrum. Some are rather comprehensive, like Mike Cohn's Succeeding with Agile: Software Development Using Scrum, while others, like this one, do not try to cover everything in great depth. Rather, they attempt to provide the broad landscape of framework concepts and typical agile practices used within that framework.
This book is divided roughly into three equal parts of approximately 60 pages each:
* Part I (Introduction to Agility) provides: 1) an overview of how the agile "movement" came into being; 2) a brief discussion of each of the agile values and principles; and 3) an example to illustrate the business case for using an agile approach to software development.
